The group consists of the dance team, instrumental music team, and Pung-Mul team whose members have superb talent and excellent skill in voice, dance and instrumental music. Through various Korean Traditional Stage programs, the group showcases different genres of traditional Korean arts ranging from royal court dance to traditional farm music, conveying the beauty of Korean culture to Koreans as well as foreigners. In this new millennium of culture and arts, the Chongdong Performing Art Group also aims to further develop and revitalize traditional Korean arts through new repertories that combine newly-composed traditional Korean music, dance and percussion music in an attempt to integrate traditional, modern and future-oriented beauty and elegance of Korean culture. The Chongdong Performing Art Group hopes to become the world’s best performing art group one day by enhancing the national prestige of Korea through showcasing Korea’s proud and beautiful traditional culture to foreign visitors, while deepening understanding of the beauty and elegance of Korean tradition among the general public in Korea to make Korean culture a global one.
